The Jewel Box Bank in Grinnell, Iowa was designed by Louis Sullivan. He is known as the Father of the Modern Skyscraper because he was the first architect to use steel beams. He is also known as the Father of Modernism. He was a mentor to Frank Lloyd Wright. No wonder the bank reminded me of The interiors of Wright's houses. All the geometric lines and combination of wood, metals and beautiful stained glass. Both Sullivan and Wright were part of the Prairie School movement.
