We slept late putting us in a hurry to get loaded up and checked out. We were a few minutes late but they didn't say anything. We head toward Junction City because we need gas. Fortunately the first gas station had premium. From there we went to a car wash. The resort had mostly gravel roads so the Corvette was really dirty again. We took I70 east since we are only going to Kansas City. We are stopping there so my masters can eat BBQ and go to a Royals game. Hey isn't this supposed to be my big adventure?
My masters stop for lunch at the Blind Tiger in Topeka, Kansas. They get seated right away even though it is Mother's Day and the restaurant is very busy. After they order, my master comes out to check on me. The car is in the shade so it isn't too bad. She sits with me and runs the AC to cool the car down before heading back into the restaurant. Sure wish there were more places dogs could go to. I am always getting left out. They had a nice lunch then we are back on I70 until just before Lawrence, Kansas where we turn onto Kansas State Highway 10 because our hotel is actually in the suburb of Overland Park, Kansas. Not much new for scenery but my master did take a couple pictures.
We arrived at the hotel about 3:30. I worked on my blog while my masters talked and watched golf. Later they had dinner at Carrabbas. It was a pretty low key evening after a hectic start.
