We drove into Provincetown yesterday. We had hoped to have lunch at Sandy's but they were closed. When we arrived in Ptown, we checked into the Cape Colony Inn. I chilled out in the room while Karen and Bob went out to Race Point on the Cape Cod National Seashore. Karen waded in the Atlantic and picked up a couple rocks for souvenirs since there weren't any seashells. She said it was really cold. Later they walked down Commerce Street.
This morning we drove to the east end of Route 6 at the tip of Cape Cod in Provincetown. This begins our trip following Route 6.
Only 3,652 miles to go. Sure glad we aren't doing it all this trip.
Then we drove by the Nauset Lighthouse, where Karen snapped this picture, before stopping at The Knack for lunch. Karen had a lobster roll checking off the last of her two food icons for Massachusetts. The other was the clam chowder she had in Boston.
We found a hotel in Hyannis. Bob and Karen walked to the Black Cat Tavern for dinner. Bob had his second must have, stuffed quahog. The first was the fried full belly clams he had on the way to Ptown. We went past the Cape Cod Maritime Museum on my nightly walk. Sounds like a cool place and dog friendly but I'll have to miss it, off to another ballgame.
