Maynardville Tennessee

Friday April 13, 2018

My master and I got up early so she took me outside and I ran around some more. So much room and so many smells. It didn't last long enough for me but my master needed coffee and Beth had the pot going when we went in. Everyone had ham and eggs for breakfast except me. Good thing I like kibble. I guess we are staying in a hotel in Indianapolis tonight. We took the obligatory pictures in front of the Welcome chalk board. At least I'm in this one. I'm the one on the left with the pretty long hair.

My master loaded up the car and put me inside. More hugs AGAIN. Let's get this show on the road. We head north on highway 33. Boy is it fun and winding. It gave me the chance to practice leaning into the curves. We didn't get very far and the phone rang. My master left her jewelry so we turned around and headed back. Beth met us at the bottom of the driveway for the handoff and we headed out again. It is 9am. We have 6 hours to go. Back on 33 we are behind a double wide trailer - Wow is that big. Fortunately we get around it after a little while. From highway 33 we get onto 25 to take us to I75. A quick stop at a Dollar General for a few things and we join the interstate. Karen has cottage cheese and Bob has crackers for their lunch. Kibble seems better than that.

It is a beautiful day. My master called her aunt and uncle, Russ and Donna, to see if we can stop and see Abby, oh and them too, on Monday or Tuesday. They say yes. Yeah, I get to meet Abby. I've heard a lot about her. She sounds very sweet and just my size. We go through a tunnel on our way out of Louisville, Kentucky and into Indiana. My master said Kaitlyn would call it a fire tunnel. I can see why with all the lights.

We cross the Ohio river. It looks like chocolate milk. Bet the muddy Mississippi looks like this. We get to the hotel about 4pm. I catch up on my blog, hope you like the posts. My masters leave me to relax in bed while they go out for dinner. They are going to The Tamale Place. They were excited since it was on Diners Drive Ins and Dives in 2011. I don't get the big deal. Who is Guy Fieri anyway? Boy were they raving about the food when they got back. Something about a pork tamale in red sauce and chipotle chicken taco and salsa that can't be beat.

We chilled out. I got a hair brushing and a half bath - the back half. The only good thing is all the treats. Love those bits of greenies. The humans went to bed while I worked some more on the blog. I really enjoy sharing my adventure. Tomorrow we move on to Davenport, Iowa to stop at Leia's house. She has a new baby human named Shay that my masters are dying to see. It will be good to catch up. Leila used to live in Florida near me. I better rest up, it's going to be a big day.
